INTRODUCTION

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a new international organization committed to strong, inclusive green growth. We assist developing and emerging countries with integrating their ambitions for strong economic performance and environmental sustainability with the goal of bringing about poverty reduction, job creation, social inclusion, and climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Headquartered in Seoul, GGGI was established by treaty in June 2012 at the United Nations Rio+20 Conference by an initial group of eighteen nations who share the organization’s vision. To date, there are total of 24 Member Countries who joined the organization.

GGGI's Knowledge Solutions (KS) Division is dedicated to producing cutting edge knowledge products and services in support of green growth mainstreaming. A part of KS, GGGI's Green Investment Services (GIS) Department works to translate green growth plans into concrete investments and bankable projects

JOB DEscriptION

Provide support to the GreenInvest Unit on its activities as follows:

• support in reaching out to potential donors
• in reaching out to potential members of the 3 working groups of GreenInvest
• in liaising with the key partners of GreenInvest such as IFC and BMZ
• Provide research assistance on relevant topics; such as institutional investors, country-specific investment risks, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: currently enrolled in Master’s or PhD program in finance, economics, international relations, public administration or other closely related fields
• Significant knowledge of and/or working experience in climate finance.
• Familiar with international financial institutions and global financial governance
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in multi-cultural settings with diverse teams of individuals and colleagues
• Skills required: communication, research, analysis, drafting, MS word & PPT
• Able to work in London
